Dear colleagues around the globe,

 We, KACEP(Korean Association of Certified Exercise Professionals), have been hosting annual meeting in the last decades to promote the quality and support the rights of the exercise professionals both in Korean and the globe. The KACEP is announcing the 9th Annual Meeting, ¡°2008 in Conjunction with International Conference on Medicine & Science in Sport & Exercise¡±, will be held from June 21st to 22nd in 2008 at Keimyung University, Daegu, Korea.

 We intend to define academic speciality of exercise science through the conference. Moreover, it is aimed to explore possibilities for exercise professionals where to play their roles, for what kinds of areas and how to perform their potentials. We hope various scholars from relevant fields including exercise science, education and medical science to gather for intensive cross-disciplinary academic discussion through their works on the study of exercise science. It will be a meaningful time in a certain extend for the exercise professionals to reinforce academic speciality sharing field experiences and research results in the relevant areas.

 Respectful members, educators and students,

 We have not been able to be avoided from an academic confusion these days. We have, furthermore, not been able to be in a stalemate in promotional project for licensing system of physical instructors. The factors for the confusion and stagnation are due to the fact that the academic identity of the exercise science has not been clearly defined.

 It is impossible for a few peoples to seek for the answers towards those issues. It demands an intensive discussion among exercise professionals and scholars who have academic relations to this field. We sincerely hope to have you all for the discussion.

 We also welcome the foreign scholars and professionals who involved in the field. Especially, the symposium among the professionals who live in the same linguistic cultural origin of Chinese will be functioned as a future asset in seeking for an answer toward the confused issues including the conceptualization of the exercise science in the field and for upgrading academic field and professional quality of exercise science.

 We are confident that "The KACEP 9th Annual Meeting, 2008 in Conjunction with International Conference on Medicine & Science in Sport & Exercise" will create the most valuable and meaningful event for you.
